Cozia
The two component parts are located in the central-southern part of the Southern Carpathians, embedded in an intact forest landscape of over 8,000 hectares in size with natural forest dynamics. The mountains are almost completely covered by particularly natural forests. Among them are pure beech forests, fir-beech forests, sessile oak forests, and spruce forests. Tree species that like dry and warm conditions, such as manna ash and walnut, are interspersed.
