Udava & Stužica-Bukovské Vrchy

This primeval beech forest is characterised by a large altitudinal range (512 – 1,210 meters above sea level). Individual beech trees older than 200 years, as well as European silver firs and sycamores of 300 years and older can be found here. In recent years, European bison and elk have been sighted here again.
