World Heritage with a future.

With the extensions to the World Heritage Site, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee has reaffirmed the pan-European conservation efforts for beech forests.

This is an incentive for other countries to protect what remains of their unique beech forests. Only then will Europe live up to its commitment to the global community to preserve the European beech forests.

Hence, our World Heritage Site could grow even further. The Beech Forests are a World Heritage with a future.
